The Role:

As a CaFS Group Worker, you will deliver group programs that support children, young people and families. You will work with schools, community partners and the CaFS team to identify needs, run safe and inclusive programs, and connect families with the right supports.

Main Duties

  • Deliver group programs for children, young people, parents and families.
  • Work with schools and community partners to plan, promote and run programs.
  • Support parents and carers with practical information and strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, services and local networks.
  • Keep accurate records, attendance, consent forms and program outcomes.
  • Help children, young people and families access other services when needed.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant qualification, such as Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Health or similar. 
  • At least two years’ experience working with children, young people and/or parents in group settings.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
